INTRO 👋

When I got the challenge, the first thing I did was to decode the prompt, defining the problem clearly, and identifying the goals

Problem

"How to help college professors associate their students' names and face effectively by using quick, digital experiences?”

College professors with busy schedules encounter lots of new students from different backgrounds every semester. The students have similar ages and fashion trends. It's difficult for them to remember the names and faces in a short time.

Users

FEATURES 💫

With a clear idea of who were the users and what their needs are, I embarked on a design process to develop a solution

FOR THE COLLECTOR

Student Cards

Satisfying the goal to easily browse student profiles, I designed the student cards feature and make it easily to swipe. This feature allows users to quickly skim students' pictures, names, basic info, facial traits and fun fact, remembering more important information in less time.

FOR THE NOTE-TAKER

Annotation Mode

The annotation mode allows users to customize the student cards, highlining the important contents, typing or drawing the notes that help memorize the names.

FOR THE LEARNER

Quizzes

Having a quiz can effectively empower the professor to remember the students more quickly and accurately. However, the professors are busy. Thus, only 10 questions are set in each quiz set, and each question is limited to 5 seconds, which a set of quizzes will not exceed 5 minutes. The professor can skim the quiz at hiatus.

DESIGN PROCESS 💡

I researched on the users, conducted the use cases and user flows, organized the hierarchy, created a visual language, iterated through a multitude of designs, and prototyped interactions.
